Habitat: edge of evergreen hardwood forest with bamboo and parking lot, limestone bedrock. Evergreen tree, up to 7 m tall, dbh 21 cm. Branching like spokes on a wheel. Bark smooth to slightly flaky, mottled in white, grey, brown and dull green pattern, innerbark light yellow, with light yellow exudation, wood dull yellow. Pedicels light yellow to light green-yellow, with reddish tinge. Sepals and petals greenish yellow with reddish tinge below, stigma dark red to maroon-red, cup like receptacle light yellow, anthers beige-yellow. Leaf blades shiny dark green above, shine pale green below, with sparse light yellow exudation. Locally common. |
