Habitat: in degraded deciduous hardwood forest with bamboo, not far from a permanent stream, granite bedrock. Evergreen tree, 7 m tall, dbh 4.5 cm. Bark dark reddish brown with light brown lenticels. Inner bark dull yellow, wood white. Pedicel light green with brown bracts, calyx pale yellow. Petals light yellow to green-yellow, style light yellow, stigma shiny bright yellow, staminodes light yellow, sterile anthers yellow-brown. Leaf blades green above, pale green below, with sparse white exudation. Common. |
