Terrestrial fern with short creeping rhizome, fronds very closely spaced, rhizome and crown underground; roots thick, black and wiry. Stipe and rachis pink; stipe and rachis pink; stipes brittle, with large scales near base. Fertile fronds taller and more erect, to 67 cm long, lamina 34 x 11 cm; lower pinnae reflexed or not. Lamina coriaceous, pale green or yellow-green above and beneath. |
