Habitat: in shady and moist area near gully in upper catchment, in under story of evergreen hardwood forest, limestone bedrock. Perennial evergreen herb, up to 90 cm tall. Roots dull brown. Stem maroon-red at base, rest of stem dark green with maroon-red tinge. Pedicel bright light red, white at apex, sepals white with bright red. Petals white, filaments light yellow, anthers bright yellow. Leaf blades dark green above, pale green below, young leaf blades with red veins below. Uncommon. |
