Habitat: partly open area on ditch bank, along edge of very degraded evergreen hardwood forest and road, granite bedrock. Deciduous shrub, up to 140 cm tall. Stem light brown to dark green (upper part), with orange brown corky lenticels. Inflorescence axes greyish to glaucous green with white to orange white hairs, stipels dull red with white hairs, pedicels dull red to greenish red, calyx light green with light orange hairs. Corolla white to greenish white with faint pinkish red hue, with 2 light green, roundish patches at base banner inside, pistil greenish white, filaments greenish white, anthers green to yellowish green. Pods light green (immature). Leaflet blades dark green above, glaucous green below with dense mat of straight white hairs. Common. |
