evergreen shrub, up to 3.5 m tall, DBH main stem 4.5 cm. Bark fibrous, dark brown, pustular, inner bark light green, wood white. Infructescence axes pale green with short white soft hairs. Fruits dull orange to greenish yellow, warty. Petioles dull lighte red to dull reddish green, brittle. Leaf blades dark green above, whitish green below with whitish easily rubbed of indumentum. Twigs and branches densely covered with downwards curved, soft spine-like, green protuberances. Locally common. |
