Open, degraded, fire-damaged, regenerating deciduous forest with much bamboo; rugged limestone terrain; in shaded cracks on rugged limestone cliffs in thin black soil. Deciduous, elliptic herb; rhizome deeply embedded in limestone cracks, difficult to extract; tubers tan outside, whitish inside; rhizome whitish and slightly aromatic inside; bracts outside: lower part light green to whitish with pale light pink, upper part white-brown, inside light green; calyx light green-whitish and red, corolla lower part pale light green, very pale light lilac-pale red outside, pale light lilac, red at base; labellum light blue, base margins deep red, keel purple; leaf blades dull dark green above, dull light green underneath. |
