Evergreen treelet or tree 2.5-7 m, basal diameter 2-8 cm; bark thin, very finely pustular-lenticellate, grey; nodes swollen; basal 20-30 cm of trunk with still roots; young stems, petioles green; inflorescence erect; axes, bracts, calyx, capsules light green; corolla tube pale light green; posterior lip narrow, reflexed, pale light green; anterior lip 3-lobed, bright white; palate at base of midlobe with violet dots; anthers green, filaments violet & white; stigma/style very pale light green; slightly fragrant; leaf blades dull dark green above, light green below. |
