Open thicket bordering cattle pastures and very degraded, fire-damaged, remnant, deciduous, seasonal, hardwood forest with much bamboo; limestone bedrock; evergreen scandent, basal diameter 8-9 cm; bark thickened, roughly and deeply cracked, grey; cambium light orange; branchlets, raceme axis green; pediols, receptacle, calyx lobes outside dull light green with brownish indumentum; calyx lobes light green inside; all petals white, standard with a broad pale light yellow area medially inside; anthers white, filaments & style cream, stigma dark red; slightly fragrant; immature pod light green becoming red-brown; gynophore pink turning red; leaf blades dark green above, dull light green below; ovary light green; bark chewed with betel nut. |
