Monoecious tree, >30 m. dbh. 52 cm. Crown: monopodial; open foliage, flushing with young leaf. Bark: pale grey to mid grey/brown, flaking; inner bark pale yellow, no latex/sap. Leaf: young leaves pale orange-green, maturing pale green; twigs bark brown. Male flower: pedicel pale greenish-yellow; calyx red-purple in centre, greenish-yellow toward lobes, androphore stalk white; anthers pale yellow ripening rich orange- brown. Female flower: pedicel and calyx as male flower; styles pale yellow with sparse pale brown tomentum; ovary pale orange with dense brown tomentum; glands around base of ovary cream. |
