Tree, c.26 m high. dbh 68 cm. Bole: fluted trunk and curving buttresses at base. Bark: pale grey-brown, rugged and slightly cracked; middle bark yellow-green; inner bark pink; wood pale yellow and very hard. Leaf: pale green. Flower: sepals pale green, petals pink, anthers bright yellow. same species recollected the following week in Khao Sok National Park (Suratthani) where it si much more common. |
