Rhizomatous herb in shallow pockets of soil over sandstone in full sun. Sheaths with reddish, longitudinal stripes. Leaves c. 6 per shoot, plain green. inflorescence terminal, enclosed in upper leaf sheaths. Bracts green. Corolla, lat stamen & lip pure white, lip with yellow patch in throat. Fruits dehiscent, valves rolling back, back, ants seen feeding on aril. |
