Climbing fern firmly attached to tree, 8 m tall. Rhizome long creeping, green. Stipe and rachis green. Very shallowly grooved above. Fronds dimorphic, imparipinnate. Lamina of sterile fronds dark green and shiny above, hardly paler beneath. Lamina of fertile fronds pale green above, acrostichoid beneath with orange sori. Black spot present at junction of pinnae and rachis in both sterile and fertile fronds. Sterile fronds to 135 cm long, with c. 22 pairs of pinnae, widest slightly above middle, pinnae to 22 cm long, stipe 20 cm long, stipe 6-12 cm long. |
