On limestone rocks in thin soil. Rhizome pale to bright green, thick 2 cm diameter, long creeping, firmly attached to rock, with scattered large brown appreses scales, stipes spaced 3-4 cm apart. Stipes and rachis greenish brown throughout. Fronds arching; to 102 cm long, lamina 66 x 38 cm; widest in lower 1/3; 9-13 pairs of pinnae, lowest pinnae strongly reflexed. Lamina mid above, hardly paler beneath. Immature sori pale green to pale brown, position of sori marked on upper lamina by small hollows or slightly raised with a sunken centre. |
