Monoecious perennial herb, up to 50 cm tall. Leaves vein at below surface red. Male flower tepals 4, white with pink at base; stamen 20-30, golden yellow. Female flowers; tepals 5, un-qual; outer 2 broadly elliptic, inner three elliptic to oblanceolate, white, styles 3, shortly fused at base, yellow. Ovary with 3 sub-equal wings, wings plain light greenish to red. Capsules green to pink. |
