Perennial herb, cluster pseudostem, 3.5 m high, 16 cm in diameter, red-brown. Leaves 61x176 cm, dark green, lower surface with mealy; petiole green with brown dots. Terminal bud composed of bracts 6x10 cm, ovate; bracts dark red, inner surface darker than outer surface, outer with mealy. Fruits immature green. Seeds numerous. |
