Clump-forming, deciduous herb in fertile soil at base of limestone cliff, c. 60 tall. Leaves plicate, plain green. Inflorescence breaking thought lower leaf sheaths, erect. Bracts pale at base, deep red at apex. Calyx and corolla red; lateral staminoides red at base, orange at tip; lip orange, filament red, anther white. |
