Perennial herb up to 1 m high, with underground rhizome, aerial stem well developed. Flowers red. Tepals outside yellow with red margin at outer whorl and orange with red margin at inner whorl, inside yellowish-orange to yellowish-red with dark red dots. Filaments pale dull red. Anther yellow. Ovary green. Style pale dull red. Stigmas yellow. |
