Clump-forming herb 50 cm tall. Sheaths dark purple. Leaves 6/shoot with purple patch at join with petiole, lower surface glaucous . Inflorescence terminal, pendent, rachis and bracts dark purple, bracteoles slightly paler. Calyx greenish yellow, rest of flower pale yellow. There is some variation in the intensity of colour of the leaf sheaths. |
