ลักษณะ :

ไม้เลื้อยล้มลุก ยาวประมาณ 1 เมตร ลำต้นและกิ่งก้านมีขน ใบ เป็นใบประกอบแบบมีใบย่อย 3 ใบ รูปรีหรือรีเบี้ยว กว้าง 1-2.5 ซม. ยาว 2-4.5 ซม. ปลายและโคนใบทู่ ผิวใบหยาบเห็นเส้นใบ เด่นชัด ดอก สีเหลือง ออกเป็นช่อกระจุกที่ซอกใบ ยาวประมาณ 1-2.5 ซม. มี 1-5 ดอกย่อย ดอกบานขนาด 1 ซม. กลีบรองดอก 5 กลีบ มีขนปกคลุม กลีบดอก 5 กลีบ เกสรผู้ 10 อัน ผล เป็นฝัก รูปขอบขนาน กว้าง 0.8 ซม. ยาว 2-2.5 ซม. มีขนสีน้ำตาล ปกคลุมแน่น แก่แล้วแตก เมล็ด รูปกลมแบน มี 3-6 เมล็ด

Characteristics :

Slender trailing or twining annual herb, up to 1 m high; stem and branches hairy. Leaves trifoliolate; leaflets elliptic to oblique elliptic, scabrous, 2-4.5 cm long by 1-2.5 cm wide; base and apex obtuse; veins distinct. Inflorescence axillary fascicle, 1-5 flowered, 1-2.5 cm long. Flowers yellow, ca 1 cm across; calyx 5, grey and silky; corolla 5, pea-shaped; stamens 10. Pod oblong, dehiscing along the sutures, 2-2.5 cm long by 0.8 cm wide, brownish pubescent. Seeds 3-6, rounded, flat.

การกระจายพันธุ์ :

พบทั่วไปในทวีปแอฟริกา เอเชียและออสเตรเลีย เลื้อยพันไม้อื่น ตามบริเวณชายป่าดิบ ป่าผลัดใบ หรือพื้นที่รกร้าง ที่ระดับความได้สูงถึง 2,000 เมตร

Distribution :

Widely distributed in Africa, Asia and Australia. In Thailand, twining around other plants along the edges of evergreen forests, deciduous forest and disturbed areas, at elevations up to 2,000 m.
