ไม้ล้มลุก อายุหลายปี แตกไหลปกคลุมดิน ใบเดี่ยว เรียงเวียน รูปเกือบกลม ดอกออกเป็นช่อเดี่ยว คล้ายซี่ร่ม จากซอกใบ ดอกสีม่วง ผลขนาดเล็ก รูปเกือบกลม ออกดอกตลอดป ี ขยายพันธุโ์ ดยการแยกไหล หรือเพาะเมล็ด

Characteristics :

Centella asiatica is a small creeping perennial herb with stolons. Leaves are simple, rosette arranged, orbicularreniform. Inflorescences are in axillary simple umbel, with purplish flowers. Fruits are small sub-orbicular. Flowering are round year. This plant can be propagated by runners and seed.

ใบนิยมรับประทานสดเป็นผักเคียง นำมาทำเป็นนํ้าใบบัวบก ดื่มแก้ร้อนใน บำรุงกำลัง หรือนำใบแห้งมาชงดื่มเป็นชา กระตุ้นการ ไหลเวียนของโลหิต

Uses and Utilization :

The leaves are eaten raw as a side dish with chilli sauces. The whole plant is used as a tonic and a cooling drink to relieve heatiness. The leaves are taken as herbal tea to stimulate blood circulation.
