ลักษณะ :

ไม้ล้มลุกอวบน้ำ สูง 30-50 ซม. ต้นเกลี้ยง เปราะหักง่าย ใบ เดี่ยว ออกตรงข้ามรูปขอบขนานแคบหรือรูปหอก กว้าง 0.5 ซม. ยาว 4-6 ซม. ขอบใบหยัก ปลายใบเรียวแหลม โคนใบป้านหรือหยัก เป็นติ่งหู ดอก สีชมพู ออกเดี่ยวตามซอกใบ ดอกบานกว้างถึง 2.5 ซม. กลีบรองดอก 3 กลีบ กลีบด้านล่างมีขนาดใหญ่กว่า กลีบด้านข้างและเชื่อมกันเป็นถุง ส่วนปลายเป็นเดือยยาวเรียว และโค้งงอ กลีบดอก 5 กลีบ เป็นกลีบบน 1 กลีบ กลีบข้าง 2 กลีบ และกลีบล่างขนาดใหญ่ 2 กลีบ แผ่กว้างรูปไข่กลับ ผล สีเขียวอ่อน เกลี้ยง ก้านยาวเมื่อแก่จะโค้งงอ แตกดีดเมล็ด ไปได้ไกล

Characteristics :

Succulent annual herb, 30-50 cm high; stem glabrous, easily broken. Leaves simple, opposite, linear-oblong, 4-6 cm long by ca 0.5 cm wide; margin remotely spinulose-serrate. Inflorescene axillary, solitary. Flowers pink, 2.5 cm across; calyx 3, posterior sepal larger than the anterior, funnelform, with long recurved spurred; corolla 5, standard 1, wings 2, anterior petals 2, large and obovate. Fruit capsule, pale green, explosive when release the seeds, glabrous, with long curved pedicel.

จีนและเอเชียตะวันออก เฉียงใต้พบขึ้นมากตามป่าหญ้าที่มีน้ำค้างหรือบนภูเขาสูง ทางภาคเหนือและภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของประเทศไทย ที่ระดับความสูง 500-1,100 เมตร

Distribution :

China and Southeast Asia. In Thailand, commonly found in moist grasslands and high mountains in the north and northeast, at elevations of 500-1,000 m.
