ไม้อวบน้ำ อายุหลายปี สูงได้ถึง 60 ซม. ลำต้นเกลี้ยง ใบ เดี่ยว เรียงสลับ รูปไข่หรือไข่กลับ ปลายใบแหลมหรือเรียวแหลม โคนสอบเรียว ขนาด กว้าง 2.5-6 ซม. ยาว 6-15 ซม. มีขนทั่วไป ดอก สีชมพู เป็นดอกเดี่ยวหรือเป็นพุ่ม 2-3 ดอก ตามซอกใบ ก้านดอก ยาว 5-6 ซม. กลีบเลี้ยง 3 กลีบ 2 กลีบบนรูปแถบแกมใบหอก ขนาดกว้าง 2 มม. ยาว 6-8 มม. มีขน กลีบล่างเชื่อมเป็นถุงส่วนปลาย เป็นเดือยโค้งงอ ยาว 4-5 ซม. กลีบดอก 5 กลีบ กลีบบน 1 กลีบแผ่ รูปหัวใจ กลีบข้าง 2 กลีบ รูปขอบขนาน กลีบล่าง 2 กลีบ ขนาดใหญ่ รูปครึ่งวงกลม ผล แก่แล้วแตก รูปกระสวย มีขน

Characteristics :

Succulent perennial herb, up to 60 cm high; stem glabrous. Leaves simple, alternate, ovate to obovate, 6-15 cm long by 2.5-6 cm wide. Inflorescence fascicle. Flowers pink; pedicel 5-6 cm long; calyx 3, anterior sepals 2, linear-lanceolate, 6-8 mm long, hirsute, posterior sepal boat-shaped with long filiform spurred, 4-5 cm long; corolla 5, standard 1, cordate, wings 2, oblong anterior petals 2, large. Fruit capsule, explosive when release the seeds, spindle shaped, hirsute.

เป็นพืชเฉพาะถิ่นของไทย พบตามเขาหินทราย ในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือตอนบน ที่ระดับ ความสูง 1,300-1,500 เมตร

Endemic to northeastern Thailand, on moist sandy soil areas at elevations of 1,300-1,500 m.
