Habitat: open exposed area on limestone outcrops in mix evergreen+deciduous limestone vegetation, limestone bedrock. Perennial deciduous woody climber. Diameter at base 6 cm. Bark rough and cracked, grey to orangy grey, inner bark bright orange with light yellow streaks, with sticky exudation. Inflorescence axes pale yellow green with orange-brown glandular hairs, calyx light green to white-green with light red patches on lobes outside. Pistil white, filaments yellowish white, anthers fluffy, pale yellow. Leaf blades green above, light green below. Petioles and twigs with small recurved thorns. Very common. |
