Habitat: shady area in mixed evergreen+deciduous limestone forest at the base of limestone cliffs, limestone bedrock. Deciduous trailing vine, approx. 1.5 m long. Stem dull green with brownish maroon dots. Pedicel pale green, calyx green and maroon. Corolla white with dense pattern of large dark red-maroon dots and patches outside, corolla tube dark maroon inside at base, corolla white with dark red-maroon open reticulated pattern and dots inside, corona greenish white with dense dark maroon blotched, disc yellowish, stigma golden yellow, connate stamen white to beige-white. Leaf blades green above, white-green below. Uncommon. |
