Lithophytic on granite rocks with long creeping rhizome; rhizome 7-10 mm diameter; covered in pale brown scales, white when cut but turning brown in few minutes. Stipes and rachis reddish brown. Fronds to 84 cm long, lamina 57 x 34 cm, widest at second pair; 6-9 pairs of pinnae, lowers pinnae facing skywards. Lamina subcoriaceous, yellowish green to mid green above, grey-green and slightly glaucous beneath; lateral veins and some minor darker than lamina and clearly visible. |
