Cultivated plant near the house. Clustering perennial herb. Pseudostem 6 m high, green and purplish brown. Leaves spiral arranged; lamina oblong 180 cm long 70 cm wide; lower surface with white glaucous. Petioles 50 cm long. Bracteoles dark purplish red with white glaucous. Flowers whitish and yellow at terminal. Fruits ellipsoid oblong, 4-angled. Seeds numerous, black. Leaves are used to wrap food and craft work. |
