Deciduous tree, 22 m high. dbh. approx. 100 cm. Crown: coming into young leaf. Bole: spreading at base, slightly fluted. Bark: red-brown, thick (>5mm), roughened and flaking with lenticels in vertical lines; middle bark green; inner bark cream/pale yellow, turning orange on exposure to air. Flower: buds pale green; peduncle and pedicel yellowish-green; calyx yellowish-green outside, yellow and red with green stripes in the centre inside. |
