Deciduous, clump-forming herb, making colonies on roadside bank and along roadside drains by long, +- leafless stems which lie on the ground and may also flower terminally but rarely set fruit. Stems slightly flattened, to 60 cm tall, inclined with upright inflorescence. Bulbils frequent, on rachis among upper leaf sheaths or in axils of lower cincinni, elongate, sometimes growing into plantlets attached to inflorescence. Fruits only on lower 1 or 2 cincinni, strongly triangular in T.S., not ridged longitudinally. Flowers orange-yellow with lateral syaminoides presented+-laterally, no spot on on labellum. Anther appendage of male and female types. |
