Herb 2-3 m tall; rhizome pale yellow inside. Blade coriaceous, glabrous above, sparsely hairy beneath. Bract yellow turning red. Bracteoles membranous, white. Calyx pale yellow, membranous. Corolla white. Labellum dark purple with pale yellow spots. Fruits a capsule. Seed dark brown with white aril. |
